📋 Description

• Provide project financial support and direction on assigned projects • Monitor and manage project financials to maximize project profitability and cash flow • Load, review, reconcile, and approve project budgets, billing schedules, and revenue schedules in financial management systems • Perform work movements between project sites and maintain Project and Contract module configuration • Record revenue recognition for milestone, spread-even, usage-based units, and billable project transactions during month-end close • Prepare and/or validate Sponsor accruals and receivable balances • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports, variance analyses, forecasts, accruals, backlog, unsigned contract opportunities, and ad-hoc financial analyses • Review project revenue recognition, performance variances, WIP/Deferred revenue positions, and related reconciliations • Monitor WIP/Deferred revenue, over-the-limit, and contract activation reports; resolve or escalate unusual activity • Work with project management on projections, timelines, scope changes, budget-to-actual comparisons, and change orders • Ensure payments do not exceed SOW timelines and change orders are executed and communicated • Act as central contact for project communications, correspondence, and documentation • Participate in study and project kickoff meetings and collaborate with cross-functional staff to verify information and triage data issues

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or equivalent work experience required • Minimum of 1 year of related experience • Intermediate to Advance knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and industry specific manuals • Ability to write advanced reports and correspondence • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Well-developed interpersonal skills are required • Personal/professional integrity and proven discretion in handling confidential information • Ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results • Capable of managing multiple conflicting priorities • Must be self-directed, motivated, and have a willingness to take the initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation • Critical thinking, initiative, and good judgement as well as constructive problem solving • Ability to set priorities and work in an organized manner • Strong attention to detail • Professional demeanor, including the ability to demonstrate the upmost discretion pertaining to employee information • Proven ability to work as part of a team in a very fast paced, deadline-driven environment • Strong MS Office skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and familiarity with HRMS systems • Experience with Workday ERP is preferred • Relevant industry experience is a plus
