📋 Description

• Build Ameresco's Medium Voltage Operations & Maintenance Department from the ground up • Lead phased hiring from an initial three-person crew to a 21-person department over five years • Develop SOPs, MOPs, JHAs, and quality management systems for medium voltage work • Internalize medium voltage preventative and corrective maintenance currently performed by third-party contractors • Manage preferred third-party MV contractors retained for surge capacity and specialty work • Serve as the internal medium voltage subject matter expert and technical escalation point • Evaluate subcontractor scope, quality, responsiveness, issues, testing reports, and deliverables • Recommend repair versus replace decisions and prioritize corrective actions • Oversee nationwide scheduling, dispatch, and execution of PM and CM service requests • Ensure safety and regulatory compliance across crews and regions • Optimize crew travel logistics and regional coverage • Own department KPIs and maintain records in AssetPlanner CMMS • Onboard and review MV equipment to identify critical spare parts • Source, procure, and stock common fleet components; update IMS • Establish a zero-tolerance safety culture and conduct quarterly reviews and unannounced PPE/LOTO audits • Design training roadmaps and oversee the apprenticeship program • Conduct annual skills matrix assessments and competency evaluations • Develop succession plans and mentor Lead Technicians and high-potential team members • Own the annual operating budget and track third-party cost avoidance and net savings • Manage fleet, tooling, consumable budgets, vehicle procurement, and replacement planning • Participate in or oversee an on-call rotation for 24/7 emergency corrective maintenance • Perform other duties assigned by the Senior Director of Operations

🎯 Requirements

• Experience, skills, education, certifications, and location may affect actual pay • Compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, and site-specific safety and regulatory requirements • Current certifications, PPE compliance, and training requirements for technicians • Availability for an on-call rotation supporting 24/7 emergency corrective maintenance, including weekends and holidays as needed • Willingness to preferably live in the Northeast for project coverage • Ability to manage nationwide Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) operations • Experience with medium voltage preventative and corrective maintenance • Ability to develop SOPs, MOPs, JHAs, and quality management systems • Ability to use Ameresco's CMMS platform, AssetPlanner • Ability to review DGA results, relay test reports, infrared scans, and cable test results • Knowledge of medium voltage equipment, testing, repairs, replacements, and subcontractor oversight • Ability to manage crew travel, fleet, tooling, inventory, and operating budgets
