📋 Description

• Build and develop a caseload of new and existing donor partnerships for gifts greater than $10,000 • Guide and steward donor partnerships through qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship • Conduct virtual and face-to-face donor meetings and maintain written donor strategies and timelines • Pursue creative ways to drive impactful donor connections and generous relationships • Meet or exceed individual and annual fundraising revenue goals • Engage personal and professional networks to identify new donor and partner opportunities • Collaborate with prospect development and research to cultivate mass- and mid-level-market prospects • Identify, cultivate, and solicit planned, blended, and asset-based gifts • Maintain donor records and document donor communications and interactions in the CRM within one week • Regularly update opportunities for accurate forecasting • Meet core lead indicators, including donor visits, qualification attempts, relational touches, and meeting mix targets • Travel approximately 40–60% of work time for donor and partner meetings, conferences, field events, and headquarters visits • Collaborate with HQ-based teams, partners, and leadership with 4–6 hours of overlap with Eastern Time core hours

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience • Minimum of 5+ years in relationship fundraising or sales with a clear record of achievement in a complex, mission-driven organization • Knowledge of basic planned giving vehicles, non-cash gifts, tax, financial, and estate planning concepts • Experience using a donor CRM such as Blackbaud or Salesforce • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications • Personal commitment to Jesus Christ • Identify with and participate in a Christian church and proactively seek to grow in Christian faith • Active participation in organizational prayer, devotional times, and organization-wide events • Maintain exemplary Christian ethics, behavior, and conduct • Demonstrate Christian maturity and alignment with American Bible Society’s vision, mission, and values • Ability to support organizational, biblical, and kingdom goals and participate in work-related spiritual activities • Personal passion for and belief in the Word of God and American Bible Society’s mission • Ability to communicate complex ideas verbally and in writing • Ability to work collaboratively and demonstrate cultural awareness and inclusion • Service orientation, adaptability, time management, organization, problem-solving, critical thinking, leadership, and initiative • Ability to travel approximately 40–60% of work time by air, car, or other transportation • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods • Ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds occasionally during travel • Candidates must pass a background check • Employment contingent upon satisfactory reference checks • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States • Must sign and agree to uphold the ABS Affirmation of Biblical Community • Employees must affirm and uphold American Bible Society’s Christian beliefs
