• Maintain a strong academic presence and growth in teaching, scholarly or creative works, and service to the profession and college • Report and work directly under the department chair's leadership • Interact directly with students professionally • Facilitate a safe and productive learning environment • Respond to student requests and contact inactive students as needed • Review course functionality and content to ensure high-quality delivery • Add personal experience, insights, and professional knowledge to course content • Monitor assignments and provide student feedback according to college policies • Synthesize and report student performance data in a timely manner • Support program and institutional policies, procedures, and guidelines • Aid student learning regarding ethical conduct, plagiarism, and copyright infringement • Direct students to supplemental resources • Collaborate with colleagues and college leadership, including attending required meetings • Promote the college's vision, mission, and culture • Provide leadership within one's sphere of influence • Participate in educational workshops and seminars, review professional publications, establish networks, and participate in professional societies • Maintain knowledge of emerging departmental issues and trends • Support and promote research to ensure program and course quality
• Earned a terminal degree and experience in Leadership, Higher Education, Research or Community College • 1+ year experience in teaching and leadership in a formal educational setting • Experience using both traditional and non-traditional teaching formats • Higher education teaching experience strongly preferred • Demonstrated experience developing online/virtual professional relationships • Evidence of professional research and/or creative endeavors and expertise in the field • Passion for helping students achieve educational goals • Strong attention to detail • Positive attitude, motivation, concern for students, teamwork, and excellent time management skills • Ability to follow established organizational processes and leadership guidance • Ability to produce a high volume of quality work • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and with department personnel • Support for the College's Impact mission and civic engagement initiatives • Exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills • Self-motivated, creative, and efficient approach to complex, time-critical problems • Collaborative, team-oriented decision-making • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Must maintain at least 50 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload internet bandwidth for remote work • Candidates residing in Alaska, Washington D.C., Massachusetts, South Dakota, or Alabama cannot be considered
