📋 Description

• Maintain a strong academic presence and professional development in teaching, scholarly or creative works, and service • Report and work directly under the department chair's leadership • Interact directly with students professionally • Facilitate a safe and productive learning environment • Respond to student requests and contact inactive students as needed • Review course functionality and content to ensure high-quality delivery • Personalize course content with professional experience and insights • Monitor assignments and provide student feedback within college policies • Synthesize and report student performance data • Support program and institutional policies, procedures, and guidelines • Aid student learning of ethical conduct, including plagiarism and copyright procedures • Direct students to supplemental resources • Collaborate with colleagues and college leadership, including attending required meetings • Promote the college's vision, mission, and culture • Maintain professional and technical knowledge of curricula and industry • Participate in educational workshops and seminars, review professional publications, establish networks, and participate in professional societies • Maintain knowledge of emerging departmental issues and trends • Support and promote research to ensure quality program and course offerings

🎯 Requirements

• Earned a terminal degree and experience in Leadership, Higher Education, Research or Community College • 1+ year experience in teaching and leadership in a formal educational setting using both traditional and non-traditional teaching formats • Higher education teaching experience strongly preferred • Demonstrated experience developing online/virtual professional relationships • Evidence of professional research and/or creative endeavors and expertise in the field • Strong attention to detail • Exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and collaboratively with department personnel • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure • Must support and embrace the College's Impact mission • Minimum internet bandwidth of 50Mbps download and 5Mbps upload • Candidates cannot reside in Alaska, Washington D.C., Massachusetts, South Dakota, or Alabama
