• Oversee business and administrative operations and improve operating procedures for optimal efficiency • Coordinate multiple stakeholders in creating work products and implementing margin improvement strategies • Develop and execute growth directives, maintain key customer relationships, and participate in the sales process within the assigned region • Ensure sites conduct work safely, efficiently, and responsibly in compliance with federal, local, and company guidelines • Communicate regularly with staff and participate in leadership meetings and training courses • Ensure compliance with company standards and FRA regulations • Assess and enhance internal and external operational processes • Make long-term operational infrastructure, process, and procedure decisions supporting growth goals and financial targets • Build relationships with the team and serve as a trusted, confidential advisor to the C-suite and senior business leaders • Motivate staff to achieve sales and organizational objectives • Evaluate company performance, forecast improvements, and recommend strategies using metrics and data • Collaborate with management and stakeholders to raise capital and execute business-expanding strategies • Evaluate operational performance against organizational goals • Hire and develop operational staff; provide training and mentoring • Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations • Perform other assigned duties
• Bachelor's degree in Business Management • 5+ years business experience in a senior operational role • Knowledge of rail maintenance and/or commercial construction operations • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Advanced leadership and organizational skills • Strategic planning and business development • Experience in budgeting and P&L management • Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with teams and implement changes • Ability to work in fluid environments, highly flexible and able to set/adjust priorities with market needs • Excellent planning and time management abilities • Ability to multitask effectively
