• Serve as a scientific liaison to the medical/scientific community and establish, develop, and maintain relationships with prominent experts and clinicians throughout the US • Network and partner with medical thought leaders, academic institutions, large group practices, medical directors, managed care decision makers, and pharmacy directors in alignment with compliance, legal, and regulatory guidelines • Understand, integrate, and communicate scientific/medical information and commercial value of products to medical communities and key audiences • Work in a self-directed manner and obtain, integrate, and communicate customer feedback • Pair customers’ unmet needs with available internal resources • Collaborate with functional areas to identify opportunities addressed through scientific, medical, and health economic information • Identify potential new speakers and train them on scientific content for sponsored external speaker programs • Participate in national and regional conferences, meetings, and scientific venues to support Medical/Clinical strategy, obtain competitive information, monitor clinical trends, and maintain relationships with investigators and scientific research • Evaluate external clinical research collaboration opportunities and facilitate external investigator-initiated trials and company-sponsored trials • Monitor the competitive environment and provide senior leadership feedback on competitor initiatives, treatments, therapies, products, and features
• Doctorate degree OR Master’s degree & 3 years of Medical Affairs experience OR Bachelor’s degree & 5 years of Medical Affairs experience • Preferred: Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D. or D.O. (other doctoral degrees considered) • 2 years of proven experience in scientific or medical affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company • Exceptional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, including strong networking ability • Ability to travel up to 60% for territory management, regional and national conferences/workshops, and company meetings • Ability to work up to 15-hour days due to travel when needed • Ability to learn new business applications across hardware tools such as PC and iPad • Proficient in Microsoft Office • Professional, proactive demeanor • Strong interpersonal skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Sponsorship for this role is not guaranteed
