📋 Description

• Support the US medical strategy for the thoracic portfolio and pipeline via the US Medical Plan, including launch preparation support and product improvement strategies • Collaborate with the Brand Team, Product Team, Medical Team, and Development Team • Provide strategic input on the US treatment landscape, registrational strategies, and product improvement strategies • Develop a comprehensive US medical plan for SCLC pipeline products • Manage external stakeholders and contribute to scientific communications, evidence generation, and medical education strategy • Contribute to global product strategy through understanding of the US medical environment and engagement of external experts • Facilitate Amgen’s role as a science-based and patient-focused partner • Partner with Global Development Leads and Medical Leads on evidence-generation activities • Ensure the Evidence Generation Plan captures critical US needs

🎯 Requirements

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of Medical Affairs experience OR Master’s degree and 4 years of Medical Affairs experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Medical Affairs experience OR Associate’s degree and 10 years of Medical Affairs experience OR High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Medical Affairs experience • MD plus accredited fellowship in Hematology-Oncology, board certified or board eligible preferred • 2+ years of Medical Affairs experience and/or clinical research experience and/or basic science research in Hematology-Oncology preferred • 2+ years of clinical research experience and/or basic science combined with clinical teaching and patient care activities, ideally in the thoracic tumor field • Experience with stakeholder engagement and interactions, including opinion leaders, advocacy groups, and payers • In-depth understanding of scientific method and clinical application based on medical, scientific, and practical rationale • Familiarity with clinical research, clinical trial design, real world evidence, and biostatistics • Sound scientific/medical judgment • Familiarity with regulations and guidelines governing pharmaceutical industry practices • Sponsorship for this role is not guaranteed
