• Develops plans and instructs students with visual impairments in the development of skills and knowledge • Implement IEPs, individualized interventions, and classroom accommodations • Build a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment • Collaborate with school-based Exceptional Children's/Special Education teams, behavior specialists, and families • Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and team planning sessions
• Orientation and Mobility Specialist Certification • Successfully completed and graduated from an accredited Orientation and Mobility specific training program through an approved university and have completed all fieldwork requirements • School-based experience preferred, not required
