📋 Description

• Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialists to support student success • Develop and implement individualized educational programs tailored to student needs • Adapt curriculum and differentiate instruction to support diverse learning styles and abilities • Create a safe, engaging, and supportive classroom environment for students with visual impairments • Provide individualized and small-group instruction to maximize academic, social, and daily living skills • Monitor, assess, document, and communicate student progress, goals, and outcomes • Maintain accurate records for attendance, grading, assessments, and compliance requirements • Build strong partnerships with students, families, and school staff through effective communication and collaboration • Apply knowledge of special education practices, visual impairment supports, curriculum, and educational technology • Stay current on educational best practices, special education laws, and professional development opportunities

🎯 Requirements

• Georgia Teaching Certificate • Special Education (P-12) • Visual Impairment • Bachelors from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignments • Strong communication and collaboration skills • School-based experience preferred, not required
