📋 Description

• Lead and grow a 15-person product design team • Hire, develop, and retain a high-performing design team • Provide direct, specific feedback and help unblock team members • Drive design strategy for Core Amplitude, Statsig, and Wave • Help define workflows where AI agents and humans work together • Elevate product quality through strong visual design and exceptional execution • Set and enforce clear design quality standards without becoming an approval bottleneck • Pair with designers on difficult UX problems and stay involved in production work • Push on product details, edge cases, and usability issues • Represent the customer in leadership discussions • Create coherence across autonomous design pods while maintaining shipping speed

🎯 Requirements

• Experience managing senior, independent IC designers and earning their respect through product and craft judgment • Experience shipping products that moved real customer and business metrics, fast • Experience creating structure inside a messy, high-growth organization • Experience shipping AI-native experiences • Current use of AI tools in design practice • Portfolio demonstrating systems-level thinking and pixel-level craft • Bonus: Experience designing for both technical and non-technical users • Bonus: Experience with Analytics, Experimentation, or Developer tools
