📋 Description

• Conduct independent Customs-related research requested by clients • Complete HTS US classification projects across products and industries • Exercise independent judgment during customer consulting projects • Coordinate with internal and external resources to complete projects on time and to client expectations • Research and interpret government import regulations and apply them to client situations • Develop solutions for complex import and export situations and recommend courses of action • Ensure U.S. Government regulatory requirements are met for import and export opinions • Analyze and interpret information received from clients and consultants • Perform complex data analysis for goods in all industries • Liaise with government departments to resolve client situations and projects • Prioritize and complete work according to project demands, customs requirements, and standards • Identify sales opportunities • Stay current with Customs regulations, procedures, requirements, and other federal trade laws • Cross-train and perform additional duties assigned by management • Support Senior Trade Advisors on tasks and large projects

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED • Minimum of 5 years of experience in customs brokerage or auditing • If offered the position, must possess or be willing and able to obtain a Customs Broker’s License • Obtaining a Customs Broker’s License includes U.S. Citizenship among other requirements • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred • Experience with Binding Ruling process and submission • Experience with AD/CVD valuation • Experience with USMCA eligibility verification • Experience with PGAs and PGA requirements • HTS classification experience • Country of Origin determination experience, including familiarity with Free Trade Agreements • Experience with Customs entry processing, particularly in a customs brokerage environment • Ability to perform complex data analysis • Ability to remain current with Customs regulations, procedures, requirements, and other federal laws affecting trade and Customs • Ability to travel up to 10% • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle large volumes of work • High frequency of keyboarding/computer work required (67%–100% of the workday)
