📋 Description

• Analysis of mechanical components, using in-house tools or developing calculations as necessary • Documentation for proposals (as-required), technical reports, and customer O&M manuals • Creation, review, and approval of mechanical drawings to ensure contractual and internal requirements are met • Creation of engineering instructions that define technical requirements for manufacturing, installation and testing • Disposition of non-conformances during manufacturing and installation • Review and analysis of site data and testing • Creation of engineering documentation supported by designers and drafters • Lead design reviews with the aid of the technical subject matter experts • Optimization of hydro generator mechanical design, for contracts and studies • Provide support manufacturing, workshop testing, installation and commissioning of systems • Participate in problem solving and root cause identification • Participate in the planning of engineering activities related to the portfolio of projects on which he/she is assigned and report progress to internal project team

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years Engineering experience required • AD proficiency required (Siemens NX preferred) • Ability to read and understand contracts requiring close attention to detail • Excellent problem-solving skills, sound judgment, initiative & creativity • Manufacturing experience (welding, machining and/or casting) and site experience is a plus • Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously • Solutions focused while managing the needs of both internal and external customers • Excellent written and oral communication abilities • Knowledge of MS Office suite, and relevant IT tools
