📋 Description

• Prepare and file SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and proxy statements • Lead drafting and review of MD&A, footnote disclosures, and earnings press releases • Manage XBRL tagging and EDGAR submissions • Monitor SEC rules, comment letter trends, and disclosure best practices • Serve as primary contact for external auditors on SEC reporting and technical accounting matters • Provide technical accounting guidance on US GAAP topics including ASC 606, ASC 718, ASC 842, business combinations, goodwill, and debt instruments • Research, document, and communicate accounting positions for transactions, product initiatives, and strategic deals • Develop and maintain company-wide accounting policies • Assess new and proposed FASB/SEC accounting standards and prepare implementation plans • Oversee SOX controls, including design, documentation, testing, and remediation • Partner with internal audit and external auditors on audits and reviews • Ensure effective disclosure controls and procedures • Recruit, manage, mentor, and develop accounting professionals • Advise the Controller and CFO on accounting implications of complex transactions and strategic initiatives • Partner with FP&A, Legal, Tax, and Corporate Accounting • Improve reporting and close-cycle scalability through process improvements, automation, systems enhancements, and AI

🎯 Requirements

• 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience, with substantial SEC reporting and technical accounting experience at a public company and/or Big 4 public accounting firm • CPA required • Deep knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements • Hands-on experience across multiple complex accounting areas • Proven experience managing and developing a team of accounting professionals • Strong experience with SOX compliance, including designing, maintaining, and evaluating internal controls over financial reporting • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including explaining complex accounting matters to non-accounting audiences • Experience with Workiva and EDGAR filing systems • Preferred: experience in a marketplace, technology, or two-sided platform business • Preferred: background in a high-growth, publicly traded company environment • Preferred: familiarity with NetSuite or comparable ERP systems • Preferred: experience presenting to or preparing materials for an Audit Committee
