📋 Description

• Conduct tree and vegetation surveys, develop and implement vegetation protection plans, and conduct hazard tree assessments • Provide environmental compliance inspection and oversight on construction projects in the Puget Sound Region • Collect environmental samples including air, water, stormwater, wastewater, and soil • Prepare routine regulatory reports related to stormwater, wastewater, solid/hazardous waste, and air permit compliance • Prepare environmental management plans related to stormwater pollution prevention and spill prevention • Select and implement pollution prevention Best Management Practices for discharge permit compliance • Assist with evaluation and permitting of environmental projects • Present environmental topics to employees, clients, and contractors • Travel to project sites within Washington and Oregon • Represent Apex safely and professionally internally and externally

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology or related field • 5+ years of related field experience • CESCL certification required and must be maintained during employment • ISA Certified Arborist® certification required and must be maintained during employment • Demonstrated experience in arboriculture, tree care, or urban forestry • Sound arboricultural judgment in assessments and recommendations • Experience collecting soil, groundwater, surface water, stormwater, wastewater, and air samples using standard environmental protocols • Experience preparing regulatory reports and permit-related documentation • TRAQ certification preferred
