📋 Description

• Developing and modifying multiple comprehensive cost estimates and bid packages for a variety of stormwater-related construction projects. • Manage and develop a group of estimators working on stormwater-related construction bid packages. • Review deficiencies identified by Apex personnel to generate proposal opportunities. • Meet client deadlines for proposal development and submission. • Working closely with a growth team on new client work development. • Contacting regulatory authorities to discuss aspects of violations. • Developing material pricing databases for bidding purposes. • Create bid takeoff to determine quantities for bidding. • Occasional travel (5 -10%) to review projects or continuing education opportunities. • Actively participate in a culture of safe work practices.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field • Must have 4 or more years of experience as an Estimator for construction, stormwater, utilities, erosion control and/or excavation & grading projects. • Demonstrates high-level of comprehension of construction processes, including familiarity with construction materials and estimating quantities • Experience with estimating software preferred • Ability to read site plans and develop cost estimates efficiently • Possesses a track record of establishing and maintaining working relationships with vendors and subcontractors • Works well in a team environment and possesses excellent communication skills • Hands on management and execution of varied stormwater and related projects, with accountability for project quality, safety and adherence to schedules and budgets • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Acrobat • Organized, self-motivated, fast learner, able to multitask and unafraid of deadlines • Valid drivers license and a good driving history are required • Experience with Deltek Vision is highly desired.
