📋 Description

• Review individual and business tax returns prepared by tax preparers, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations • Comfortable using AI-enabled review tools as part of the workflow, with demonstrated ability to adapt to evolving review processes while applying sound judgment informed by professional experience. • Conduct detailed quality assurance checks, identifying errors, inconsistencies, or optimization opportunities and providing clear corrections or guidance • Oversee the finalization of tax filings, including sign-off/approval of returns prior to e-filing submissions and re-efiling after capturing and fixing rejection errors for timely acceptance of returns • Handle complex or escalated tax situations, applying professional judgment and collaborating with internal experts as needed to resolve issues • Support and mentor tax preparers by providing feedback, coaching, and reinforcing best practices to improve overall team quality and consistency • Maintain strong client experience by addressing key tax-related questions, clarifications, or escalations in a clear and professional manner when needed • Share recurring issues, process gaps, and product feedback with leadership and product teams to continuously improve tools, workflows, and overall filing accuracy and efficiency

🎯 Requirements

• Active EA or CPA credential and a valid PTIN • 5+ years of paid individual tax prep experience, including at least 30 returns prepared in each of the last two tax seasons with strong preference for remote work experience • 2+ years experience reviewing moderate to high-complexity returns prepared by other tax professionals in a high-volume tax practice, including multi-state, self-employment, rental, and investment income • Proficient with professional tax software, comfortable navigating multiple systems and able to adapt quickly to new technology • Experience working virtually with tax clients, including the use of client portals, e-signature platforms, secure document sharing, and online meeting tools • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to explain complex tax concepts clearly and simply to customers • Self-starter mindset—comfortable with change, learning by doing, and excited to help shape the future of the tax industry.
