It partners with government agencies (including HHS, CMS, NIH), foundations, and private-sector clients to provide data coordinating center services, disease and treatment registries, clinical trial research, mixed-methods evaluation, and health IT modernization using cloud, AI, and modern development practices.

📋 Description

• Work with lead investigators to coordinate research development and complete assignments on time • Design analytical approaches for specific research questions • Follow accuracy, programming, and documentation standards, including analytical checklists and code reviews • Complete analytical requests, including journal papers, quick-turnaround data requests, and analyses for investigators or committees • Prepare medical and statistical research papers and presentations supporting epidemiologic and health policy research • Assist authors with tables and figures for written materials • Present results clearly to biostatisticians, clinicians, and non-biostatisticians in public forums • Attend committee meetings, conference calls, and national/international conferences • Contribute to proposals for new projects • Develop SAS code and verify coding accuracy • Mentor junior analysts and Research Analysts • Help select or develop methodological approaches for requested analyses • Lead analytic approaches in consultation with Principal Investigators • Work with external investigators and contribute effectively to project objectives

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative field (Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Economics, Public Health, Public Policy, etc.) • Progressively more responsible statistical programming experience • At least 4 years of professional experience with statistical software; SAS preferred, including survival analysis • Excellent understanding of statistical concepts and substantial knowledge of analytical approaches for health care • Strong oral and written communication skills with sponsors, policy makers, clinicians, biostatisticians, and other audiences • Strong mentoring skills, possibly including supervisory or teaching experience • Demonstrated Arbor Research project/contract expertise • Ability to run or lead subprojects with little to no intervention • Contributions to health services research, biostatistics, or epidemiology through peer-reviewed publications and written reports • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications • Ability to work with external investigators • Preferred: non-profit experience and health research background
