📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients in the outpatient setting • Provide medication management and therapy to a diverse patient population • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards • Stay current with advancements in psychiatric treatment and research methodologies • Make referrals for psychotherapy when indicated • Collaborate with mental health professionals involved in patients’ care to ensure comprehensive treatment • Maintain accurate and confidential client records and complete documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards • Advocate for clients’ needs and rights, including access to psychiatric services and medications • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Active, unrestricted medical license in Michigan, or willing to obtain • Board-Certified Psychiatrist (MD or DO) • Possess and maintain a valid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) number and all other licenses and certificates lawfully required to prescribe medications, including controlled substances • Minimum of 2 years’ experience treating children, adolescents, adults, and older adults (ages 5–80) in private practice • Strong understanding of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, medication management, and therapeutic techniques • Knowledge of evidence-based interventions in psychiatric treatment
