• Provide expert portfolio management advice to alternative asset managers and family offices • Manage and oversee investment portfolios, including portfolio optimization, investment selection, cash management, and risk management • Develop and direct investment programs designed to achieve client objectives • Analyze portfolios, determine asset allocation, and select underlying investment strategies • Research, propose, and implement financial solutions and investment strategies • Conduct fundamental research on investments and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data for investment decisions • Prepare investment data and provide portfolio, fund, and performance analytics • Build reporting and analysis for internal and external stakeholders • Streamline and automate processes for security selection, position weighting, and buy/sell recommendations • Identify risks, mitigations, improvement areas, and value-add opportunities • Ensure timely completion of training, compliance reporting, and investment trade processing • Determine acceptable client risk levels based on time frames, preferences, expectations, and market conditions • Evaluate portfolio performance and regulatory compliance, including investor disclosures, privacy laws, anti-money laundering, and anti-fraud requirements • Help clients develop action plans, implement policies and controls, review resources, track KPIs, and maintain consulting records
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field • CFA designation • Minimum 10+ years of specific portfolio management experience with consistent long-term investment performance meeting objectives • 5+ years of analyst experience and/or extensive industry experience preferred • Deep knowledge of trading • Understanding of investing styles across public and private markets, asset allocation, and portfolio construction • Knowledge of investment and portfolio management theory, accounting and financial principles, investment strategies, and instruments • Solid knowledge of asset allocation, portfolio construction, and portfolio risk management • Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, and software such as Morningstar Direct, Microsoft Office, FactSet, Bloomberg, and BlackRock Aladdin • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Outstanding analytical skills; detail-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated • Ability to collaborate and partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholders • Experience with or comfort in ambiguous roles requiring creative analysis and action • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize work, and achieve results • Ability to quickly build rapport and work with a team • CFP or other industry designations are a plus • MBA or advanced degree in Accounting, Financial, Mathematical, or Quantitative Analysis is a plus
