📋 Description

• Verify patient insurance eligibility via payer portals • Determine pre-authorization requirements and obtain necessary approvals for provider-ordered services • Process and track in-network referrals • Ensure timely appointment scheduling in compliance with payer requirements • Stay up to date on managed care guidelines, payer portals, and referral protocols • Determine patient financial responsibility • Liaise between patients, clinical providers, and insurance payers to resolve coverage discrepancies and address barriers to care • Maintain comprehensive EMR records regarding authorization statuses and restrictions • Alert providers and patients promptly regarding coverage denials

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required • 2+ years prior authorization experience required • No required credential, licensure, or certification
