📋 Description

• Serve as a dedicated representative of the ASPCA at Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine • Stay informed about ASPCA student externship opportunities and resources • Build and nurture relationships with veterinary medicine students and campus student groups • Provide information about ASPCA work, veterinary training externships, resources, and career pathways • Liaise with the ASPCA Campus Relations Senior Manager regarding campus events and collaboration opportunities • Assist with planning and executing campus events and activities with student groups • Present opportunities to student groups and promote upcoming events • Develop written communications about the ASPCA and upcoming events • Maintain academic excellence and focus on education • Abide by school rules and policies

🎯 Requirements

• In good academic standing • Strong belief in the Mission and Core Values of the ASPCA • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships with peers • Active membership in at least one student group related to the core work of the ASPCA • Not currently a student ambassador for another veterinary or animal welfare organization, non-profit, or company • Ability to dedicate an average of 3 hours a week during the semester to fulfilling the responsibilities of an ASPCA Student Ambassador • Ability to work independently (self-starter) • High-level of maturity and professionalism • Access to a computer for virtual meetings and email correspondence • Ability to temporarily store informational and promotional items to be passed out on campus to CVM peers • English (required) • Currently enrolled as a veterinary medical student at Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine; individuals not currently enrolled will not be considered • High School Diploma (Required)
