📋 Description

• Drive SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI 4.0, and other compliance audit cycles • Gather and organize audit evidence, document, design, and build controls • Coordinate directly with auditors through fieldwork and collaborate on remediation • Own the Vanta compliance automation platform, monitor control status, maintain integrations, and update the risk register • Run vendor and third-party risk reviews and security assessments • Partner with sales and legal on customer and vendor security questionnaires, RFP security sections, and trust-and-safety inquiries • Drive vulnerability triage and prioritization, track remediation against SLAs, and report metrics • Monitor and respond to endpoint, cloud, identity, and application security alerts • Support incident response through evidence collection, timeline construction, documentation, and post-incident action tracking • Maintain security runbooks, process documentation, and operational playbooks • Build scripts, integrations, reporting, and tooling to automate security operations

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in security operations, GRC, IT security, or a related role • 2+ years of experience with compliance audit cycles • One or more security certifications—CISA, Security+, AWS Security Specialty, or equivalent • Experience executing recurring security operations work, including security reviews, vulnerability tracking, alert triage, or control monitoring • Strong organization skills for managing multi-week evidence collection cycles across stakeholders • Strong written communication skills • Proficiency in Python and comfort reading code written by others • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Copilot, or similar • Nice to have: application security fundamentals, security tooling across the development lifecycle, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipeline security, AWS and IAM, identity and SaaS administration, SIEM detections and alerting pipelines, endpoint security, cloud security posture tooling, AI/ML security, or high-growth startup security experience
