📋 Description
• Make knowledge accessible to all students and develop students’ cognitive capacity and respect for learning • Implement Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) • Foster students’ self-esteem, motivation, civic responsibility, and leadership • Deliver instruction in a specific content area and adapt curriculum, techniques, strategies, and methods to student needs and learning styles • Maintain daily communication with parents/guardians about academic and discipline issues through phone calls, text messages, webinars, emails, progress reports, and other media • Develop, analyze, adjust, and implement ILPs based on assessments • Help ensure ASU Prep Digital follows Arizona Department of Education instructional-hour guidelines • Collaborate to achieve the overall purposes of the school program • Maintain a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning • Facilitate weekly live lessons in a webinar-style setting for a specific grade level • Provide grading and personalized descriptive feedback on student work • Facilitate learning and community within a digital environment • Participate in occasional travel for site visits, meetings, trainings, and/or conferences • Perform additional duties as assigned
🎯 Requirements
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Post Bachelors in Education from an accredited college or university, or meeting Highly Qualified requirements per the Arizona Department of Education • State Aligned Teaching Certificate required, with appropriate endorsements where applicable, or successful completion of appropriate AEPA or NES proficiency exams • Arizona State Teaching Certificate preferred • Professional verification of successful classroom teacher performance and/or student teaching experience • Active Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card • Equivalent combinations of experience, training, and/or education may be considered • Ability to articulate, represent professional demeanor, and take initiative • Knowledge of human behavior and learning, including motivation, reinforcement, evaluation, and feedback techniques • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with teachers, parents, and students • Proven written and verbal communication skills • Strong organizational and planning skills • Effective problem-solving and self-directed learning ability • Ability to use adaptive instructional technology tools in online courses • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook • Proficiency with Canvas, Zoom, Google Suites, and computer technology • Ability to provide appropriate devices, internet access, materials, supplies, and equipment for daily work • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, talking, hearing, walking, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 15 lbs.
