📋 Description

• Directly support an assigned group of up to 150 students from enrollment through elementary promotion • Serve as the point of contact for student onboarding after initial enrollment • Provide individualized support based on academic, socio-emotional, and other risk factors • Develop individualized learning plans with realistic academic and personal success goals • Build relationships, conduct development conversations, and motivate students • Counsel and advise students by phone, email, text, and online technologies • Track attendance and academic progress through communication and analytics • Collaborate with students, families, instructors, school staff, departments, and services to resolve issues • Support continued enrollment and maintain solid academic plans • Conduct virtual information sessions, open houses, community events, and student orientations • Design and implement weekly Homeroom SEL lessons, Family Open Houses, and Career spotlights • Train and support teachers on successful student support • Document interactions and evolving processes thoroughly • Serve as liaison between students, teachers, and families • Participate in school meetings, trainings, and committees • Provide basic technology troubleshooting for students and families • Spend 75% of working hours in direct contact with students and/or parents via phone calls or Zoom meetings • Perform additional duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Counseling, or equivalent • Master’s Degree preferred • Minimum of three (3) years of experience teaching, academic coaching, social-emotional counseling, and/or college-going support for students • Experience with innovative technologies and online learning highly preferred • Active AZ Department of Public Safety (DPS) IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card • Bilingual is a plus • Exceptional customer service, advising, and counseling skills • Professional demeanor and ability to take initiative • Excellent interpersonal skills with teachers, parents, students, alumni, corporate partners, vendors, and admissions personnel • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong problem-solving skills • Strong organizational and planning skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook • Proficiency with computers, technology, and Microsoft Office Suite • Experience using the internet and social media websites • Ability to meet stated physical demands, including occasional lifting or pushing of up to 15 lbs • Occasional travel availability for site visits, meetings, trainings, and/or conferences
