📋 Description

• Deliver instruction to students in grades 6–12 • Determine instructional techniques, strategies and methods, and adapt curriculum and learning styles to meet and assess student needs • Communicate with parents/guardians about academic and discipline issues through phone calls, notes, progress reports and other media • Perform clerical duties, including logging communication in SIS and finalizing grades • Meet regular and predictable attendance requirements as assigned by the manager • Develop activities, resources, strategies, methods and lesson plans aligned with learning objectives and school guides • Assess and evaluate student performance, behavior, progress and comprehension through grades, progress reports and learning-objective assessments • Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information • Contribute to professional growth by sharing and planning curriculum, staying current with educational trends and maintaining teaching certificates • Work collaboratively to achieve the overall purposes of the school program • Maintain a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning • Perform additional duties as assigned • Work as a digital educator supporting several grades and students within a partnership

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Post Bachelors in Education from an accredited college or university • Valid State Teaching Certificate from any state; appropriate endorsements may be required depending on the area of instruction, or passed appropriate AEPA or NES proficiency exams • Professional verification of successful classroom teacher performance and/or student teaching experience • Equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education may be considered • Satisfactory criminal background check • Active AZ Department of Public Safety (DPS) IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card • Ability to articulate, represent professional demeanor, and take initiative • Knowledge of human behavior and learning, including motivation, reinforcement, evaluation, and feedback techniques • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with teachers, parents, students, alumni, corporate partners, vendors and admissions personnel • Regular and punctual attendance • Proven written and verbal communication skills • Strong organizational and planning skills • Effective problem-solving and self-motivated learning • Ability to use instructional adaptive technology tools in online courses • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) • Ability to meet stated physical demands, including occasional pushing or lifting up to 15 lbs
