📋 Description

• Make knowledge accessible to all students and develop students’ cognitive capacity and respect for learning • Implement Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) • Foster students’ self-esteem, motivation, civic responsibility, and leadership • Deliver instruction in a specific content area using appropriate techniques, strategies, methods, curriculum, and learning styles • Maintain daily communication with parents/guardians about academic and discipline issues through phone calls, text messages, webinars, emails, progress reports, and other media • Develop, analyze, adjust, and implement ILPs based on student assessments and needs • Help ensure ASU Prep Digital follows Arizona Department of Education guidelines for instructional hours • Collaborate to achieve the overall purposes of the school program • Maintain a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning • Facilitate weekly live lessons in a webinar-type setting for a specific grade level • Provide grading and personalized descriptive feedback for all student work • Facilitate learning and community within a digital environment • Maintain appropriate devices, internet access, materials, supplies, and equipment for daily work • Pursue ongoing professional growth • Perform additional duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Post Bachelors in Education from an accredited college or university, or meet Highly Qualified requirements per the Arizona Department of Education • State Aligned Teaching Certificate required, with appropriate endorsements depending on the instructional area, or successful completion of appropriate AEPA or NES proficiency exams • Arizona State Teaching Certificate preferred • Professional verification of successful classroom teacher performance and/or student teaching experience • Active Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card • Equivalent combinations of experience, training, and/or education may be considered • Ability to use instructional adaptive technology tools in online courses • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook • Proficiency with Canvas, Zoom, Google Suites, and computer technology • Knowledge of human behavior and learning, including motivation, reinforcement, evaluation, and feedback techniques • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills • Strong organizational and planning skills • Effective problem-solving skills and self-motivated learning • Ability to take initiative and maintain a professional demeanor • Must have appropriate devices, internet access, materials, supplies, and equipment to work each day • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including frequent standing and talking/hearing, occasional walking and sitting, data input and handling materials, and occasional pushing or lifting up to 15 lbs.
