📋 Description

• Responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment • Designs and analyses safety and non-safety related electrical systems for nuclear and commercial projects • Interfaces regularly with other technical disciplines for electrical design and consultation • Applies knowledge and experience, industry best practices, regulatory guidance, codes and standards to ensure design compliance • Performs a variety of engineering calculations to document compliance with project and code requirements • Generates wiring diagrams, single line drawings, control architectural drawings/specifications • Assists in preparation of design documents and plant modifications • Conducts mentoring and quality reviews of junior colleagues when needed • Performs checking to ensure accuracy of design media • Supports installation and testing of site systems and components

🎯 Requirements

• Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical or engineering field • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience • Experience in nuclear industry preferred • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Conceptual knowledge of CE&I Systems design software and Microsoft Office • Ability to complete complex technical work with limited supervision • Higher-level knowledge and application of skills of fundamental principles and concepts related to electrical design • Experience contributing to Electrical system design (e.g., on site distribution (AC and DC), off site interfaces (switchyard), grounding and lighting protection, plant lighting systems, battery system design, communications systems, or diesel generators) • Growing familiarity with nuclear regulatory guidance (e.g., NUREG-0800 Ch. 8) • Experience applying relevant codes and standards (IEEE, IEC, EPRI)
