📋 Description

• Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Oracle database software across AWS RDS environments. • Perform proactive performance monitoring, SQL tuning, and resource optimization. • Ensure database availability, integrity, and reliability through automated monitoring and alerting. • Develop and implement robust backup strategies, including RMAN, PITR, cross-region backups, and restore validation. • Enforce database security policies, including user access, encryption, auditing, and SQL inactivity/audit reporting. • Troubleshoot database issues, including slow queries, locks, and cross-tier performance bottlenecks. • Create and maintain documentation for processes, architecture, configurations, and operational runbooks. • Automate routine tasks using shell scripting, Python, SQL automation, Lambda workflows, and Step Functions. • Support database migrations and upgrades across environments.

🎯 Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship • Possession of a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security Clearance • Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or relevant experience. • Security+ CE Certification, or equivalent. • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Oracle DBA with in-depth knowledge of Oracle database architecture. • Strong expertise in performance tuning, capacity planning, and system optimization. • Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and scripting languages such as Bash or Python. • Familiarity with database automation and monitoring tools, including AWS RDS, CloudWatch, and PeopleSoft monitoring integrations.
