📋 Description

• Conduct forensic investigations involving structural failures, collapses, construction defects, and property damage claims • Perform site inspections and gather relevant field data, measurements, photographs, and documentation • Analyze structural systems and determine the cause, origin, and extent of reported damages or failures • Apply engineering principles, applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices to develop conclusions • Prepare clear, concise, and technically sound forensic engineering reports • Participate in depositions, mediation, arbitration, and trial proceedings as an expert witness when required • Communicate findings effectively with clients, attorneys, insurance professionals, and other stakeholders • Maintain current knowledge of applicable building codes, engineering standards, and forensic investigation methodologies • Perform other project-related consulting services as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in good standing; multiple state licensure preferred • Prior forensic engineering experience preferred • Demonstrated experience investigating structural failures, construction defects, and damage causation matters • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% • Valid driver's license and ability to travel independently to inspection sites throughout the assigned region • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills • Experience providing litigation support, depositions, or expert testimony preferred • Ability to manage multiple assignments independently and meet project deadlines
