📋 Description

• Provide instruction in the theory and practical applications of the discipline in accordance with academic state standards • Instruct courses in classroom, lab, or field environments that simulate industry settings • Prepare course syllabi using the provided template • Utilize current technology in the classroom/lab • Evaluate student progress toward goals and objectives • Grade coursework in a timely manner • Ensure safety and security requirements are met • Meet with students, staff, and educators regarding instructional programs and related issues • Prepare and maintain required documentation and administrative reports • Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in the discipline • Collaborate with faculty to establish, measure, and evaluate student learning outcomes • Support the Program Director and Division Dean/Associate Dean • Assist with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts • Request and maintain supplies and equipment • Respond to emails and requests within 24 hours Monday–Thursday and within 48 hours on weekends • Travel to other campuses for meetings, training, and professional development as required

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Computer Programming, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or Information Technology, or a Master’s degree in a related discipline with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline from an accredited institution • Valid Driver’s License • Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the course assigned • Knowledge of the mission of postsecondary technical education • Knowledge of academic course standards • Knowledge of the College’s academic programs • Skill in the preparation and delivery of classroom/lab content • Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs • Decision-making and problem-solving skills • Skill in accurate grade keeping • Oral and written communication skills
