📋 Description

• Provide compassionate, personalized, comprehensive care to older adults with severe mental illness, substance use disorders, and/or dementia • Conduct initial evaluations and follow-up patient visits • Engage respectfully with patients and involve families when appropriate • Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychotherapists, medical assistants, and behavioral health care managers • Participate in group huddles and clinical case discussions • Coordinate care with primary care providers • Make referrals to psychotherapy, care management, and other services • Order appropriate laboratory and imaging workups • Determine when higher levels of care are warranted • Manage crisis situations and facilitate transitions in care • Navigate the electronic medical record and maintain timely, accurate documentation • Participate in weekly supervision with an MD to review the case list • Interact with technology and product teams, test new products, and provide design feedback • Engage with clinical quality metrics, audits, performance reviews, and recommendations • Participate in pilot projects and adapt to company changes • Provide after-hours phone on-call coverage for one week up to three times per year or as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Board-certified PMHNP • Active license and DEA to practice in Florida • Licensed or willing to obtain additional state license/DEA in Texas, Indiana, Arizona, Illinois, and other states as needed • 3–5 years working as an NP in acute psychiatric settings • Experience managing complex patients with serious mental illness, substance use disorders, and dementia • Previous experience providing virtual care or telehealth services required • Strong clinical judgment and psychiatric knowledge • Knowledge of geriatric psychopharmacology and psychiatric diagnosis • Experience with major medical comorbidities and complex care needs • Strong computer and software skills, including fluency with Google Workspace applications • Ability to navigate electronic medical records and virtual interfaces • Ability to communicate clearly with patients, peers, and managers • Ability to manage crisis situations and coordinate with families and caregivers • Ability to work in a startup environment with flexibility and adaptability • Bilingual Spanish and/or Haitian Creole is highly desirable, with pay differential available • Comfortable working Monday through Friday during 9am–5pm, 10am–6pm, or 11am–7pm Eastern Time • Ability to sit for extended periods and lift up to 10 pounds
