📋 Description

• Act as lead writer and client contact for assigned accounts • Develop content with assigned project teams to ensure quality editorial implementation of client programs • Communicate proactively with editorial, client, vendor, and project teams to complete projects on time and budget • Brief, review, guide, and direct less experienced writers • Provide high-quality scientific oversight for assigned large or complex projects or workstreams • Drive project delivery and champion internal and external processes, including compliance • Support business development by investigating, conceptualizing, and strategizing new medical communications projects and publications • Represent Avalere Health at client meetings, advisory boards, speaker-training meetings, and business development initiatives • Lead multiple Oncology-focused medical communications accounts • Transform complex data into clear, engaging stories for healthcare professionals • Develop client presentations and oversee editorial outputs against timelines and deliverables

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in the life sciences; PharmD or PhD highly preferred • Ideally 4 years+ experience in medical or scientific writing, preferably within a healthcare consultancy or medical communications agency • Proven experience developing scientific content across Oncology • Demonstrated ability to manage varied scientific content types, including high-volume publications, and review content for accuracy and flow • Proven experience in project ownership and problem-solving • Ability to work proactively in a collaborative team environment • Strong client communication skills and ability to serve as a reliable point of contact for clients and external experts • Proven ability to provide leadership and mentoring to junior writers • Experience managing client relationships and serving as a key point of contact • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory guidelines for medical communications
