📋 Description

• Support customers bringing life-changing therapies to patients through customer consultation, technical sales support, and business development • Support Avantor’s Biopharma Production hardware platforms and associated consumables throughout the assigned territory • Partner with the regional Biopharma Production team to develop and execute territory and account-based strategies • Serve as a technical expert in biologics production, including upstream manufacture, downstream manufacture, and fill & finish • Create and execute sales strategies to develop pipelines and establish new customers • Manage qualified pipeline opportunities using CRM and business intelligence tools • Gather customer requirements, create proposals, present Avantor’s value proposition, demonstrate technical products, and negotiate contract terms and pricing • Support opportunity nurturing and promotional activities, including technical presentations and applications development • Ensure post-sale customer satisfaction and maintain successful-user networks • Partner with Product Management and Strategic Marketing on commercial product strategies • Support sales training and information sharing across the team • Use CRM systems for reporting, sales-cycle tracking, forecasting, and win/loss analysis • Participate in or lead special projects and assigned duties • Travel throughout the greater Boston/New England region and Canada

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering or relevant life/sciences concentration(s) • Minimum 5 years in biopharmaceutical manufacturing or supplying technical products to the biopharma industry or similar/relevant experience • Minimum 1 year in a Sales role • Full Driver’s license • Willingness and ability to travel to customer locations up to five days per week • Approximately 50% travel, with occasional international travel • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English • Strong public speaking and presentation abilities, particularly for complex subject matter • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously • Ability to form effective growth strategies • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-changing environment • Ability to navigate a matrix organization • Strong collaboration across functions and organizational levels
