📋 Description

• Lead day-to-day PSRA activities across the United States and Canada • Ensure business-unit transactions comply with applicable regulations and remain current with regulatory changes • Lead and develop a high-performing PSRA team through coaching, mentoring, performance management, succession planning, and professional development • Establish departmental goals, KPIs, service-level expectations, and resource priorities • Drive continuous improvement in service quality, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency • Recruit, hire, and integrate new employees • Supervise daily team activities, recognize performance, address problems and gaps, and support problem solving • Monitor and interpret regulatory developments and lead implementation of regulatory changes • Provide regulatory guidance to commercial, supply chain, operations, and leadership teams • Assess regulatory risks for products, suppliers, acquisitions, and market expansion • Represent Azelis during regulatory inspections, audits, and agency interactions • Support customers and suppliers with product compliance, registrations, certifications, ingredient acceptability, transportation classifications, and market access • Support commercial growth through customer meetings, supplier reviews, product evaluations, and new opportunities • Manage product document control and ERP item compliance, regulatory alerts, and master data governance • Manage compliance of Safety Data Sheets created by the Data Support Centre in India • Maintain applicable certification standards, including ISO 14000, GMP, GMP+, and RSPO • Implement and manage SHEQ-PSRA KPIs • Manage internal and external nonconformances, off-specification issues, and customer quality complaints • Maintain permits, licenses, registrations, and certifications across the United States and Canada • Participate in management meetings and communicate regulatory issues across market segments • Collaborate with departments and groups to share best practices and improve efficiency • Contribute to computerized systems development and automation of SHEQ processes • Contribute expertise to special projects and provide internal support • Maintain current regulatory knowledge and train employees on relevant regulations • Follow department procedures, policies, and Responsible Distribution™ principles

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a chemical-related field • Minimum 5 years’ experience as manager of a quality or regulatory department • Minimum 3+ years of people leadership experience preferred • Experience supporting chemical distribution, speciality chemicals, ingredients, or manufacturing environments strongly preferred • Knowledge of US/Canada regulations for chemicals an asset • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and collaboration skills • Excellent time management and priority setting skills • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy • Demonstrated ability in solving various issues • Excellent ability to work in teams and manage staff in a dynamic environment • Strong ability to adapt and evolve in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment • Negotiation skills and political savvy to interact with authorities and employees • Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, ERP, SharePoint, and quality software • Knowledge of internet, inventory, order processing, project management, spreadsheet, and word processing software • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20–30% as required • Ability to work with mathematical concepts including probability, statistical inference, geometry, trigonometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and interpret technical instructions
