âą Schedule patient appointments for diagnostic, surgical, therapy, physician office visits, and other procedures/treatments. âą Obtain and verify necessary demographic and insurance information. âą Register patients and enter data into the scheduling system. âą Work in a call center-type environment. âą Meet individual quality metrics. âą Provide professional, compassionate, and friendly service to patients of all ages, families, employees, physicians, and community members while following the Baptist Health philosophy of service excellence.
âą High School, Cert, GED, Trn, Exper. âą Complete and pass the Patient Access training course. âą Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced work environment. âą Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. âą Detail oriented, organized, team player, compassionate, excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills. âą Basic knowledge of medical and insurance terminology desired. âą Experience with computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, knowledge of EMR applications, etc.) and accurate typing skills. âą Knowledge of regulatory guidelines to include, but not limited to, HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare coverage structure, including medical necessity compliance guidelines. âą Bilingual English, Spanish/Creole preferred. âą Minimum required experience: Less than 1 year.
