• Install, configure, and troubleshoot POS systems, PCs, printers, scanners, routers, switches, wireless access points, and related technology • Pull, route, terminate, and test Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling following industry standards • Perform pre-installation site surveys and identify installation requirements • Read blueprints, floor plans, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation • Collaborate with Project Managers, customers, and fellow technicians to complete projects safely and on schedule • Troubleshoot hardware, connectivity, and installation issues in the field • Maintain accurate installation documentation and project reports • Ensure company equipment, tools, and vehicles are properly maintained • Deliver outstanding customer service while representing DecisionPoint Technologies professionally • Perform other duties as assigned by management
• High School Diploma or GED required • 2–3 years of field service experience repairing mechanical and electronic hardware • Previous experience working in hospitals, clinics, laboratories, or other healthcare environments • Certifications related to printer repair, networking, or field service are a plus • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills • Experience servicing Zebra thermal printers, barcode printers, or healthcare printing solutions • Experience supporting network-connected printing devices • Familiarity with HIPAA requirements and working in patient-care environments • Excellent customer service and communication skills • Excellent written documentation skills • Experience managing multiple service calls while maintaining organized tools and inventory • Strong organizational and time management abilities • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record • Comfortable climbing ladders, navigating healthcare environments, and traveling throughout the assigned territory • Approximately 90% travel throughout the Midwest and other regions of the United States • Overnight travel is required • Weekend work may be necessary based on customer schedules and project timelines • Able to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance • Sufficient visual acuity, hearing, and communication skills to inspect hardware, read screens and labels, execute quality testing, and collaborate effectively
