📋 Description

• Teach enthusiastic elementary and/or middle school students in online classrooms • Use the company curriculum to teach participation-oriented classes focused on instruction and skill development rather than rote memorization • Work in small classes averaging 12 students • Foster a virtual classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and problem solving • Conduct student-led instruction and discussions while allowing students to do the heavy lifting • Provide thoughtful, thorough feedback on students’ writing assignments • Teach primarily late-afternoon to evening courses Monday through Friday, plus weekend courses

🎯 Requirements

• Passion for working with high-achieving students • Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, and grammar • Strong writing skills and ability to give thoughtful, thorough feedback on students’ writing assignments • Comfortable teaching in a live virtual classroom environment • Interest in teaching elementary through middle school levels • Must have a solid academic background in English and language arts • A bachelor’s degree in a humanities field is required, ideally related to language arts • Must have some experience using Zoom or similar video conferencing software and be comfortable managing a classroom in a virtual setting • Must have experience teaching or tutoring students at the K-12 level • All functions of this role must be completed in the U.S. • Currently located in and authorized to work in the United States • Unable to offer sponsorship, including STEM-OPT and H-1B
