Braven is a nonprofit organization focused on empowering underrepresented young people, including first-generation college students and those from low-income backgrounds, with the skills, confidence, experiences, and networks they need to transition from college to strong first jobs and meaningful careers. Braven partners with higher education and employers to provide a career-accelerating experience through a semester-long course and ongoing support until graduation. Their mission is to bridge the opportunity gap and ensure economic mobility for promising youths throughout the United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate virtual Accelerator Learning Labs as a substitute for absent Leadership Coaches • Lead two-hour virtual classes for cohorts of 5–8 college-student Fellows using established curriculum • Prepare to facilitate Braven content by meeting with the Braven team and practicing independently • Attend approximately six total hours of Leadership Coach training • Work with Fellows effectively and positively impact college students • Perform other duties as assigned • Report directly to the Associate Director, Volunteer Operations

🎯 Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience with teaching, facilitation, and/or public speaking • Exceptional teaching, facilitation, and/or public speaking skills • Familiarity with Zoom and facilitating in a virtual environment • Strong organization and time management skills • Eagerness to learn and openness to feedback • Exemplification of Braven's core values • Experience that has informed your belief in Braven's mission and has prepared you to work with, or for, Braven's student Fellow population • Work remotely from one of Braven's current operating states: GA, IL, NY, or NJ • Evening and weekend work required • Access to the Internet • Access to a personal computer • Consistent availability during at least three listed time slots per week • Authorized to work in the U.S. • Braven does not offer employment visa sponsorship
