📋 Description

• Facilitate classroom and distance/distributed learning • Prepare courses and syllabi • Facilitate an asynchronous online CANVAS classroom • Deliver course curriculum according to the syllabus via Canvas • Interact with District Employed Supervisors to ensure candidates meet clinical practice requirements • Utilize rubrics for assessment and measurement of candidate learning outcomes • Submit grades, including final grades, according to academic policies and procedures • Mentor and support students • Engage in continuous improvement efforts, professional development, and reflection • Hold weekly office hours and meet with students • Attend adjunct faculty meetings during the contracted term • Timely interact with and respond to faculty, staff, and students within 24–48 hours • Collaborate with university stakeholders to support candidate success • Perform duties in compliance with organizational policies, applicable regulations, professional standards, laws, and the university mission and values

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s, Doctoral or other terminal degree from an accredited college or university, depending upon the needs of the course being taught • Minimum of three years relevant experience teaching in TK-12 or transition classrooms in the area(s) and/or field(s) of specialization • Valid credential or License in the field of teacher education; preference for CA credentials in multiple subject, single subject and/or education specialist • Ability to provide effective instruction in evidence-based practices in education • Proficient computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and learning management systems (LMS) • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated • High level of accuracy and attention to detail and ability to problem solve • Ability to explain complex requirements in clear and concise terms • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet required deadlines • Ability to work as an effective team member and develop trusting relationships with students and University employees • Culturally competent and ability to communicate and interact effectively with diverse people • Ability to maintain confidentiality • Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgment • Successful completion of a background check, including criminal, prior employment, and education verification • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
