📋 Description

• Translate design-intent contract documents or 3D design models for plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems into fabrication and installation detail BIM models • Work with engineers and managers to produce LOD400 BIM for mechanical and plumbing systems • Coordinate spatial requirements among all trades with the General Contractor and subcontractors • Attend weekly coordination meetings onsite or virtually • Generate RFIs for submission to the design team when required • Create and annotate shop drawings for fabrication and installation • Create and annotate hanger drawings and sleeve drawings • Export hanger and sleeve coordinates for robotic total-station field layout • Communicate with field personnel to clarify fabrication and installation intent • Mentor and train Junior VDC Specialists • Produce shop drawings, hanger drawings, sleeve drawings, bills of materials, pipe cut lists, fabrication labels, hanger labels, and reports • Collaborate with team members to complete drawings and models according to project schedules • Maintain training and continued education to improve accuracy and productivity • Provide management input on hardware and software requirements

🎯 Requirements

• 2 or more years of experience with installation or 3D modelling of mechanical or plumbing systems • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Autodesk Fabrication CADMEP, and Autodesk Navisworks • Knowledge of other BIM-related software is a plus • Working familiarity and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint • Proficiency in Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications • Ability to be trained in company-specific applications and software • Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret technical literature, writing, and plans • Ability to define problems, assess options, and make appropriate recommendations • Ability to distinguish between shades of color • Competence in public speaking and presentations • Good verbal and written communication skills, with ability to train and mentor • Good self-management and organizational skills • Good analytical skills and ability to generate creative solutions • Ability to perform well and meet expectations in a fast-paced environment • Ability to coordinate project activities and monitor progress to reach project goals • Ethical behavior and a high level of integrity • Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities • Ability to manage stress and job demands • Ability to work cooperatively with others • Ability to learn and apply new information quickly and effectively
