📋 Description

• Lead end-to-end procurement delivery for assigned material categories, from project award through final project site delivery. • Manage team performance, delivery outcomes, and schedule-critical procurement activities. • Manage and coach a team of buyers. • Align procurement actions with construction sequencing across concurrent EPC projects. • Serve as the primary execution interface with suppliers. • Oversee purchase order execution and monitor SLA performance. • Act as the primary escalation point for delivery, commercial, or quality issues. • Create or directly oversee creation of initial purchase orders at project award. • Develop and maintain Material Procurement Schedules, including engineering dependencies, must-order-by dates, and on-site need dates. • Identify long-lead items requiring procurement before full engineering completion. • Coordinate pre-order timing discussions with Engineering and Project Management. • Support risk authorization workflows. • Direct and coach Buyers on structured, documented expediting. • Track promised versus actual delivery performance across the category portfolio. • Escalate complex or high-risk procurement, supplier, or delivery issues while maintaining ownership for resolution.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. • 5 or more years of progressive experience in construction project delivery, procurement, or project engineering roles on gas-fired power generation projects required. • 2 to 3 years of leadership experience. • Ability to travel estimated at 15–25% (project sites, supplier facilities, Avon/Blattner campus). • Direct experience managing long-lead material procurement on EPC projects strongly preferred.
