📋 Description

• Establish and lead Blend360's first centralized risk management and compliance function • Define the firm's risk appetite and tolerance thresholds with executive leadership • Build and maintain the enterprise risk management framework, escalation protocols, and master risk register • Run annual risk reviews across regions and business units • Design incident response procedures and lead after-incident reviews • Brief senior leadership quarterly on risk position, threats, and mitigation progress • Develop policies for AI governance, data management, information security, and business continuity • Establish standards for AI model data quality, performance, bias detection, and responsible use • Assess technology infrastructure risks across AWS, Snowflake, and client systems • Track data safety across collection, processing, sharing, and cross-border movement • Review client projects involving cloud, data, and AI and provide risk-based recommendations • Establish vendor and partner risk evaluation standards • Manage global insurance programs, broker relationships, and annual renewals • Lead SOC 2 compliance, audit relationships, framework ownership, and remediation tracking • Oversee ESG compliance, Mastercard requirements, and sustainability reporting • Track regulatory changes across North America, Europe, and Latin America • Coordinate compliance with regional legal leads and operations teams in North America, Latin America, EMEA, Uruguay, and India • Fill the EMEA compliance gap until dedicated legal resources are available • Run quarterly regional compliance reviews and report status to the SVP Finance • Represent Blend360 with enterprise clients on risk and compliance matters • Handle client security, privacy, ESG, and AI governance questionnaires • Create client contract review checklists and support high-risk contract reviews • Maintain a log of client contracts exceeding risk limits

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in risk management, compliance, or legal operations in professional services, technology, AI/data, or consulting • 5+ years in a global or multi-regional role managing policies and compliance programs • Deep knowledge of GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, LGPD, EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, COSO, and ISO 31000 • Technology literacy covering AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, and AI/ML risks including bias, data quality, and model drift • Experience managing corporate insurance, including professional liability, cyber, and D&O, and working with brokers • Experience engaging directly with Fortune 500 clients on security, compliance, and risk matters • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to executives, boards, and clients • Proven ability to influence across regions and functions in a fast-moving, matrixed organization • Bachelor's degree required • JD, MBA, or relevant advanced degree preferred • Experience in AI/ML services, data analytics, cloud-native, or digital transformation firms preferred • Certifications such as CRISC, CISM, CISA, CIPP/E, ARM, or equivalent preferred • SOC 2 audit experience and ESG/sustainability reporting experience preferred • Knowledge of NIST CSF and ISO 27001 at a governance level preferred • Spanish language skills preferred • Familiarity with Latin American regulations, including Colombia and Uruguay, preferred • Experience building a compliance function from scratch at a growth-stage company preferred
