📋 Description
• Appear in court on behalf of the firm a minimum of three days per week • Review new claims for compliance with firm and client standards • Review and approve pleadings filed with the courts, including complaints and motions • Occasionally draft motions and responses for contested matters as needed • Argue contested motions and conduct trials and arbitrations • Manage telephonic and written communication with opposing counsel • Prepare and respond to discovery or oversee counterclaims involving the firm or its clients
🎯 Requirements
• Juris Doctorate and admission to the Missouri Bar required • Additional licenses in other states where the firm operates are valuable • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel • Experience with Collection Master or equivalent case management systems preferred • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of staff, judges, opposing counsel, and court clerks • Demonstrated tact, discretion, and courtesy in professional interactions • Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, manage timelines, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records with strong attention to detail
