• Provide fuel cell service during field visit dispatches • Operate a service vehicle safely • Create daily workflows from scheduled tasks and work autonomously • Perform on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, testing, and diagnostics • Follow company procedures and protocols • Diagnose technical errors and implement appropriate solutions • Cooperate with technical teams and share information across the organization • Comprehend and follow customer access requirements • Maintain the service vehicle and spare-parts inventory • Maintain and build positive customer relationships • Produce timely, detailed service reports • Perform other assigned responsibilities • Attend two initial training sessions of up to four weeks each in San Jose, California • Report to the Northeast Region Field Service Manager and Remote/Field Office in Connecticut
• Required to reside within the Service District • High school diploma and 6 years’ experience in electrical, process controls, or electro-mechanical fields; or technical diploma, Journeymen Certification, or Electrician Certification in a technical field and 4 years of relevant industry experience; or 5+ years of relevant commercial electrical experience combined with electrical-related military experience • Strong electrical troubleshooting/diagnostic skills • Familiarity with electrical safety standards, especially OSHA and NFPA 70E • Experience with three-phase systems, uninterruptible power supplies, electrical generation and distribution systems, power electronics, automatic transfer switches, or microprocessor-based control platforms • Experience with electrical/electronic test and measurement equipment • Ability to read and interpret electrical single-line diagrams and blueprints • Experience performing equipment maintenance in accordance with ANSI/NETA standards for Electrical Power • Mechanical system aptitude, including troubleshooting/repair skills • Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate sound judgment • Effective written and verbal English communication • Ability to execute written and verbal procedures and sequenced work instructions • Ability to regularly handle equipment up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 70 lbs. • Ability to reach, squat, bend, twist, use ladders or stepstools, and work at elevation while following safety protocols • Ability to facilitate 24x7 on-call duty and shift work • Ability to work alternative schedules, including Wednesday-Sunday shifts one week per month • Ability to support overtime • Ability to regularly travel throughout a large Service District, such as Connecticut and Upstate NY • Ability to travel occasionally to other US and international destinations • Maintains a driving record in good standing
