• Comply with cancer registry operations as directed by the Senior Cancer Registrar • Perform registry operations in compliance with facility needs, State requirements, and Commission on Cancer requirements • Manage cancer registry work independently and efficiently • Prioritize workload and manage time effectively • Adhere to institutional confidentiality guidelines
• Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of formal education and experience • Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR®) through the National Cancer Registrars Association’s Council • Candidates with an Associate’s degree or coding program certificate require 3 years minimum relevant healthcare experience • Candidates with a high school diploma require at least 5 years relevant healthcare experience • Knowledge of medical terminology and tumor registry coding principles, including ICD-O, FORDS, and SEER • Extensive knowledge and advanced education of American College of Surgeons and Commission on Cancer accreditation standards • Previous registry management experience • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Proficiency with Cancer Registry System, METRIQ or equivalent • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to work well independently and efficiently • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize workload • Understanding of and adherence to institutional confidentiality guidelines • Must complete a background check before employment • Must be vaccinated against COVID-19 and flu and receive a booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine
