📋 Description

• Serves as the primary point of contact for external auditors • Leads the planning, coordination, and timely completion of the annual consolidated system audit • Oversees the annual tax return calendar and ensures timely completion of all required tax filings • Prepares and contributes to financial materials for Board and Committee meetings • Coordinates quarterly and annual external bond reporting and CHIA reporting • Leads consolidated monthly close reporting in coordination with subsidiary entities • Functions as a system-wide technical accounting resource • Maintains effective control procedures across all financial reporting and tax processes • Continuously identifies opportunities to improve the efficiency of financial reporting, audit, and tax functions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • Minimum of 7 years of related experience in financial reporting, external audit coordination, or tax compliance • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) • Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) • Knowledge of federal and state nonprofit tax compliance requirements • Ability to manage multiple concurrent reporting deadlines • Ability to review and interpret financial statements • Skill in communicating technical accounting concepts clearly • Skill in evaluating financial reporting workflows and implementing technology or process changes • Proficiency in accounting software systems
