• Design and implement evaluation frameworks, including logic model development, indicator design, data collection planning, analysis, interpretation, and reporting • Conduct epidemiologic analyses, surveillance reviews, community health assessments, and other data-driven assessments • Apply contribution analysis and other evaluative approaches for complex, multi-initiative public health programs • Support quality improvement engagements by identifying improvement opportunities, facilitating QI projects, and developing tools and guidance • Support public health accreditation (PHAB) readiness, including performance management systems, documentation review, and domain mapping • Lead project design and attend to client relationships • Serve as a technical expert or individual contributor on specialized workstreams • Manage projects to exemplary client satisfaction • Serve as project manager and day-to-day client contact, keeping projects on scope, schedule, and budget • Coordinate internal team members, client staff, subcontractors, and partner organizations • Manage relationships with senior health department leadership and state agency staff • Serve as a liaison between clients, community partners, and project stakeholders • Support public health initiatives, trainings, and technical assistance activities • Develop and maintain systems for project tracking, data management, and reporting • Prepare technical reports, data summaries, dashboards, presentations, and policy or procedural documents • Conduct community outreach, including participatory evaluation and assessment approaches • Build tools, templates, and guidance that strengthen client capacity • Support onboarding and skills development for junior BME staff • Contribute to proposal writing, scope development, and identifying opportunities within existing accounts • Proactively conduct outreach, source new clients and RFPs, and recognize business opportunities • Perform other duties supporting BME’s mission and client commitments
• Minimum of 6 years relevant experience required, including 4 or more years in a consulting firm environment • Master’s degree in Public Health or a related field • Minimum 5 years client-facing experience, including 2 or more in project leadership roles • Experience in a management consulting firm is required • Track record of managing client relationships and converting delivery quality into expanded account scope is required • Strong analytical abilities across quantitative and/or qualitative methods • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong project management instincts • Skilled facilitator • Proficient with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, R, Stata, Tableau, or similar) • Familiarity with public health systems and practices at the local and state level • Familiarity with and understanding of data modernization within the public health space • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced consulting environment • Experience in program evaluation and evaluation design, epidemiologic methods and analysis, quality improvement, or public health accreditation (PHAB) documentation or readiness support preferred • Experience with state-scale or multi-site evaluation design is a plus • People management experience preferred • BME Strategies is unable to sponsor work-related visas
