📋 Description
• Performs maintenance and service repairs on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems • Installs and repairs heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration • Installs new units or replacement parts for existing units according to specifications and established safety guidelines • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals • Performs a variety of complicated tasks • May lead and direct the work of others • Typically reports to a supervisor or manager
🎯 Requirements
• Freon certification • C.E. in HVAC • Generally required knowledge includes HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques • Effective interpersonal skills to properly represent BJU in an ethical and professional manner • Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people • Leadership skills to support the activities of Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical Building Automation equipment on a job site • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures • Professional in appearance and presentation • Effective in oral and written communication • PC experience required and the ability to program HVAC related software.
