• Provide virtual math and/or reading tutoring to K–8 students • Deliver pre-designed, best-practice lessons and practice extension materials • Provide targeted support for students improving skills and topics at or below grade level • Maintain virtual student behavior and engagement • Provide student practice time and supportive corrections • Build encouraging and motivating learning environments • Meet with students in consistent, recurring weekly sessions • Choose grade levels to tutor • Claim tutoring sessions according to personal availability • Participate in application, demonstration, and onboarding steps • Complete a five-minute recorded introduction and tutoring-style demonstration if invited • Set up a payment account and complete required onboarding
• Classroom teacher, EL/ESL/ELL, tutoring, coaching, or similar student support experience • Online instruction experience • College degree preferred • Ability to deliver pre-designed math lessons and targeted support for students • Ability to build meaningful professional connections with students and create an encouraging, motivating learning environment • Computer (laptop or desktop) and webcam • Clean, distraction-free environment • Reliable high-speed internet connection of at least 20 Mbps • Must reside in and tutor from one of the listed eligible states or Washington, DC • All sessions must be conducted from within the 50 United States or Washington, DC • Availability often including at least one hour Monday through Thursday between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM ET • Ability to attend at least 80% of claimed sessions • Active participation in the application and onboarding process • Clear result on an in-person fingerprint-based FBI background check
